"He Comes At Night, They Don't See Him." -Sick Boy
"Who?" -Buffy Summers
"Death."
Perfect gift for Buffy fans! Especially those with who enjoy invisible except to sick children creepy monsters with crazy eyes, and teeth.
Der Kindestod is a creature that preys on sick children, as it turns out, only children with fevers can even see this creature. Which means that even if well-meaning adults are at their bedside, children may be attacked and the adults around may think it's only a hallucination related to their extreme fever. We don't know if there's more than one, but we do know that Buffy Summers successfully killed one and saved the Sunnydale children's hospital wing. (Purposefully getting herself very ill to do so.)
Der Kindestod's victims appear to have died from whatever illness had made them sick. but those who are willing to listen to the local sick children know better.
Der Kindestod was portrayed by James Jude Courtney in my favorite television series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" created by Joss Whedon.

Sketched with pencil, inked with india ink, pental pocket brush pen, painted with a mix of Daniel Smith and Winsor and Newton Watercolors. Finished with hand-lettering.
(As a lifelong Buffy fan, I couldn't help but draw some monsters on my latest Buffy rewatch... yeah, I'm a show-binger. But who isn't?) And with how creepy he looked, he had to be drawn in the first wave of monsters of sunnydale.
